The Cloud Rider

Preparing the world, for Him who will come again…

Setting the Stage

In my opinion this page does not contain the most important information on this site (that comes later when the cloudrider is discussed, which is why the site is named as such); however, it appears first because is sets the stage, and provides the critical information (and the lens needed to examine that information) for the rest of the content of the site. If this is unclear, keep reading to discover what this means. If you are already familiar with the Word and why it is important, skip ahead to other pages.

What information can we rely upon?

We live in an information age, where we have access to more information that at any other time in human history. But, will so much information available, what can we rely on, and what should we avoid? Of all the sources of information, there is one source that claims to set itself apart from all others: the collection of writings commonly known as The Holy Bible. Skeptical? You’re not alone. Many people think the Bible is a bunch of fairy tales. Let’s investigate further and decide for ourselves.

Why investigate the Bible?

16 All Scripture is inspired by God[b] and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (HCSB)
In other words, the bible scriptures are God’s revelation to mankind.

Why should we even investigate the Bible in the first place? What is it? Is it worth reading? If so, is it worth following? What does it say about itself? The Bible is the self-proclaimed word of God. But who is God? For the moment, let’s assume that what we’ve heard about God from those who claim to know him is true, that he is the creator, a higher divine being, who is not of this world, but rather made it. Now the Bible claims to be inerrant and inspired by God.

OK, so if we assume that God is this divine being and the scriptures (The Bible itself) is inspired by this being, then there must be some evidence of this. It seems worthwhile to investigate this seemingly outrageous claim, if for nothing else than to debunk it as untrue.

In order to investigate, we will look at the facts of the Bible that are unique in order to detect any evidence that might support the claim of inerrant, inspiration by a higher power (God). Read following pages
